This past week was a little bit of everything — I spent Friday catching up with a friend, had a lazy day soaking in the last bit of our Indian summer sunshine, and spent the evening by the fire. I’ve also been reading The Last Witch by Andrea Catalano — it’s such a wonderful escape!
Saturday was one for the books too. I got to spend the day with a dear friend and her four oldest daughters, and we went to see The Life of a Showgirl (the Taylor Swift movie). Oh my goodness — it was even better than I imagined! Music has such a way of hitting every emotion — the highs, the lows, and everything in between. And lately, with how emotional life has felt, I felt all of it watching her perform.
There’s something about Taylor Swift that just gets it — the storytelling, the emotion, the way her music feels like a conversation with your own memories. That’s why I love her — because her songs remind me that it’s okay to feel deeply, to grow, and to celebrate every version of yourself along the way.Now that I’m back home in the PNW, I’m soaking up all the October magic — the sound of rain pounding on the skylights, thunder rolling in the distance, and that crisp air that says fall has finally arrived.
Over the next few weeks, there’s so much to look forward to! October is full of important awareness moments — Breast Cancer Awareness, Domestic Violence Awareness, and ADHD Awareness Month. I knew about those ones, but I didn’t realize how many other special days there are — like National Poetry Day, Denim Jeans Day, Disability Awareness Day, and even Eye Injury Awareness. Did you know about those ones?
Throughout this month, I’ll be highlighting several of these topics with interviews and stories from women who want to share their journeys — voices that deserve to be heard and celebrated. 💕Here’s to a month full of connection, music, and cozy moments that make our hearts feel full. 💛
