I’m Stacey Pimm

I juggle so many hats, as a digital content creator, author of a children’s book series, twin mama, chaos coordinator all the while trying to navigate the teenage era, book girlie, Type one diabetic, going blind, dance in the kitchen while being a baking master, always licking the spoon! hotel hopper, experimenting with what my Nana did during The Great Depression, PNW born and raised, lover of the ocean and rain, and just as much as a palm tree and warm breeze lover. And now your new friend!

That was a lot to describe, but I am hoping something will resonate with you! My goal with writing this blog is to have you come with me as I journey through this next chapter, finding my voice as I listen to yours.

The Quiet Power Behind Every Transaction: Mary’s Story of Supporting Small Business

There is something really powerful about meeting a woman whose work quietly supports so many other dreams. I first met Mary through a call to action for women in business, and while many incredible women show up in these spaces, Mary’s presence felt steady, grounded, and deeply intentional from the very beginning. Based in Sequim, her business may not always be the one in the spotlight, but it is one that nearly every business owner depends on in order to function, grow, and succeed.

Mary has been building her business since 2019, but her journey into entrepreneurship started long before that. She once owned a cleaning business, and it was there that she first discovered that spark, the one so many women recognize when they realize they want more flexibility, more ownership, and more control over their time. What makes Mary’s story especially meaningful is that her business today allows her to show up not just for her clients, but for her family. After moving to Sequim four years ago to help care for her parents, and continuing to stay after the loss of her father, her work has created the space she needs to be present for her mother in a season that truly matters. That alone says so much about the heart behind what she does.

Her path into payment processing came through discovering David Allen Capital, where she realized just how much she loved supporting small businesses. While she now works independently, she still maintains a close relationship with her mentor Hugh, someone with over 27 years of experience in the industry. You can feel the respect and gratitude in her voice when she speaks about that mentorship, and it shows in the way she carries herself in her own work today. There is confidence there, but it is a quiet confidence, one that has been built over time through learning, listening, and showing up consistently.

Mary describes herself as a broker in the merchant services space, but what she really is, is an advocate. By partnering with more than 14 top-tier processors like FiservGlobal PaymentsChaseElavon, and TSYS, she is able to give her clients options, something many business owners don’t even realize they have. Her goal is simple but impactful: to make sure her clients are not stuck, not overpaying, and not left in the dark about how their money is being handled.

What stands out most is her tone when she talks about her work. There is no pressure, no overwhelm, just clarity and care. She understands that for many business owners, payment processing feels confusing and sometimes even intimidating. Hidden fees, unclear statements, and constantly changing rules from companies like Visa and Mastercard can leave people feeling frustrated and unsure. Mary meets them in that space with patience. She walks through their last three months of statements, explaining what is actually happening, showing them where they might be losing money, and helping them understand it in a way that feels empowering rather than overwhelming.

Her favorite part of the business is simple: helping people save money and feel confident. She shared a story about helping a client save around one thousand dollars a month in processing fees, and you could feel the pride in that, not because of the number, but because of what it meant for that business owner. More breathing room, more stability, more ability to grow. That is the kind of impact Mary focuses on.

At the heart of everything she does is service. She checks in with her clients regularly, making sure everything is still working the way it should, answering questions, and helping them stay compliant as the industry evolves. She is especially passionate about education, making sure her clients understand what is changing and how to protect their businesses from unnecessary risks or fines. That commitment to ongoing support is what sets her apart.

Of course, like any business, there are challenges. One of the biggest is simply getting clients to send over their statements. It is something many hesitate to do, whether from time constraints or uncertainty, but Mary approaches that with understanding too. She reassures them, explains the process, and reminds them that those statements are the key to truly understanding what is happening behind the scenes. What Mary has learned most through this journey is that she is capable. That she has the confidence and ability to build something meaningful, something that supports both her life and the lives of others. And she has done exactly that, with clear boundaries, strong goals, and a schedule that allows her to balance work and personal life in a way that feels sustainable.

Outside of her business, Mary finds joy in simple things. A glass of red wine, a relaxed night out at places like Pourhouse or Oasis Bar & Grill, time spent walking or gardening, and even caring for her massive Gunnera plant, affectionately named “Grute.” It is a reminder that behind every business owner is a full, rich life, one filled with personality, humor, and heart.Looking ahead, Mary hopes to continue growing her role as a trusted resource, helping more businesses find better solutions and stronger footing. But even as she looks to the future, it is clear that her foundation will remain the same: connection, education, and care.

Women like Mary are the backbone of so many businesses, even if their work happens quietly in the background. She is proof that you do not have to be loud to make an impact. Sometimes, the most powerful work is done with steady hands, a clear voice, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
