I’m Stacey Pimm

I juggle so many hats, as a digital content creator, author of a children’s book series, twin mama, chaos coordinator all the while trying to navigate the teenage era, book girlie, Type one diabetic, going blind, dance in the kitchen while being a baking master, always licking the spoon! hotel hopper, experimenting with what my Nana did during The Great Depression, PNW born and raised, lover of the ocean and rain, and just as much as a palm tree and warm breeze lover. And now your new friend!

That was a lot to describe, but I am hoping something will resonate with you! My goal with writing this blog is to have you come with me as I journey through this next chapter, finding my voice as I listen to yours.

Squeezing in the last moments, before the bell rings.

We only have a few more weeks for lazy days of summer, the school supplies came today and  felt like a slug in the gut that sleeping in, pool days, and the ease of day to day with no set plan, I haven't done enough I feel with the boys, but this summer has had its highlights, I wanted to pack so much in, the boys have been off of school since May 15th! Holy long summer batman.

We drove from Arizona through Vegas, California, Oregon and then to where I grew up in Washington State, we did a three day trip to Long Beach, Washington. family reunions, weddings, birthday parties and the best thing of the summer was  celebrating my nephews first diaversary for his first year sense he was diagnosed with type one. It was dragging on but now we are almost to the three week count down.  I want to try and squeeze a few things into the summer. Here are a few ideas of things to do.

National Parks: Some ones to try are Mt. Rainier, Olympic National Forest, The Grand Canyon, Arcadia National forest.

Take a trip to the city: Seattle, go to Pike place and watch them throw the fish, check out the first Starbucks, go on a ferry ride to the Kitsap Peninsula, or check out the beautiful remodel of the Seattle waterfront.

Now that we hear that Las Vegas is a little less crowded try going there, do the neon museum, but do yourself a favor and rent a car and go to Valley of Fire, or drive out the Red Rocks, go off the strip and stay at the Red Rock Casino, or even the Suncoast in Summerlin, a 20 minute drive from the strip. Or because of the heat and most Arizona kids are back in school ( They go back on or around July 15th)

Drive to Leavenworth;Stroll the Bavarian Village & Waterfront, enjoy strolling through downtown’s pedestrian-friendly, Bavarian-themed streets—perfect for boutique shopping, sampling German fare, and admiring architectural details and flower-adorned balconies. Waterfront Park along the Wenatchee River offers scenic walking, paddle boarding, and floating opportunities, go to the Leavenworth Adventure Park, get a burst of fun at this family-friendly mountain park—ride the Tumwater Twister alpine coaster, conquer the climbing wall, or sift for gems in the mining sluice. It operates daily through summer with food, drinks, and mountain views.
If you’re planning a trip to the Oregon Coast, Cannon Beach is truly one of those places you’ll never forget. Some of the best things to do here include exploring Haystack Rock at low tide, hiking the trails and soaking in the breathtaking views at Ecola State Park, and of course, wandering through all the charming shops and galleries in downtown Cannon Beach. Don’t forget to fill your bags with saltwater taffy, grab a bite at one of the many restaurants, and stop into a local brewery—Pelican Brewing is a favorite for both the food and the views. When it comes to where to stay, I’ve loved my time at the Hallmark Inn, Tolovana Inn, and Land’s End. Each has its own character and cozy coastal charm.
Cannon Beach holds a very special place in my heart—it’s one of those towns that feels like both a getaway and a homecoming every time I visit.
Whatever you do, soak it in and enjoy every last second of those sweet summer moments with your little loves.  Summer may be almost over, but you've still got time to squeeze in on more memory making trip. Where you are chasing sunset, city lights, or waves in the ocean, the is to go now, before the school bell rings. starting the rush begins.
