I’m Stacey Pimm

I juggle so many hats, as a digital content creator, author of a children’s book series, twin mama, chaos coordinator all the while trying to navigate the teenage era, book girlie, Type one diabetic, going blind, dance in the kitchen while being a baking master, always licking the spoon! hotel hopper, experimenting with what my Nana did during The Great Depression, PNW born and raised, lover of the ocean and rain, and just as much as a palm tree and warm breeze lover. And now your new friend!

That was a lot to describe, but I am hoping something will resonate with you! My goal with writing this blog is to have you come with me as I journey through this next chapter, finding my voice as I listen to yours.

The Feature for the month of May in KCP

I was told about this amazing woman in business in Kingston by Anja’s sweet aunt, who reached out to share a hidden gem tucked right into the heart of downtown. It is funny how many times we can drive past a place daily without realizing the magic waiting just inside. That was exactly the case here. A space that has seen other businesses come and go over the years now feels completely transformed. It is full of whimsy and wonder, the kind of place that draws you in and invites you to slow down. Whether you are searching for the perfect gift or simply treating yourself, it offers something meaningful for every occasion.

Anja began her journey just before the world changed in 2020, launching her work as a certified professional horticulturist offering garden design and consultation. What started as a solo path rooted in plants and creativity has grown into something much more expansive. In 2023, she partnered with Matthew, a talented carpenter and contractor, blending their skills to bring a shared vision to life. Together they reimagined an old house, restoring its charm while creating an indoor and outdoor experience that feels both inspiring and welcoming. Now heading into their third summer season, Anja continues to shape a space where nature, artistry, and community come together in a way that feels effortless and intentional.

For Anja, the decision to build something of her own came from a desire for creative freedom and a deeper sense of fulfillment. After years of working long weeks and feeling limited in her ability to fully express her ideas, she realized she had more to offer. At the same time, Matthew was looking for a way to bring more creativity into his woodworking. What started as conversations and daydreams about a space filled with plants, handmade goods, and connection became real the moment they found the right location. Sometimes the right opportunity arrives exactly when it is meant to.

Anja’s connection to the community runs deep. She has lived in the area since 2012 and has been actively involved in the local music scene for years. She sings and plays in her band, Allswell, which hosts a holiday variety show that gives back to local charities. That same sense of connection carries into everything she creates. She has opened the doors not just to customers but to other local artists and makers, offering them a place to share their work year round. From pottery and jewelry to fiber art and soaps, the space reflects the creativity of the entire community.

What stands out most about Anja is not just what she offers but how she makes people feel. She lights up when talking about those moments when someone finds something that truly speaks to them. It is not just about buying something, it is about the experience of discovering it. That same feeling carries into the events she hosts throughout the year, from garden and craft classes to music gatherings and seasonal celebrations. Her ability to create an environment that feels both inspiring and comforting is what keeps people coming back.

Running a business like this comes with challenges, especially when it comes to sharing everything that is happening and reaching the right audience. Still, Anja continues to move forward with intention and heart. She is proud of what she has built and even more grateful for the way the community has embraced it. Looking ahead, she hopes to expand her impact by offering more classes, more opportunities for connection, and continuing to grow into a true hub for creativity and learning.

Anja has created more than a business. She has created a feeling, a place where people can step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with beauty, creativity, and inspiration. If you have passed by before without stopping, this is your reminder to take a moment, walk in, and experience it for yourself.
